This trip departs at 12 noon and returns 52 hours later. You get Elbow Snapper action at night and deep water grouper/snapper action on the Golden Grounds during the day. The fishing depth at night is 160-240 feet and 350-450 feet on the Golden Grounds. The Golden Grounds is an area around 2 miles wide and 7 miles long that we don’t normally fish on our deep water trips because the past two years we have been fishing much from 500-850 feet. We call it the Golden Grounds because almost every time we go there we catch really well and we feel like we found a pot of gold. You can expect to catch Snowy and Yellow-edge, Scamp, Speckled hind and Warsaw grouper, Yellow-eye, Vermillion on the Golden Grounds and Mangrove Snapper and Giant Amberjack on the Elbow. There will also be the possibility to get into a good bite of Black-fin Tuna and King Mackerel at night, because the Elbow is a regular stop for these speedsters.
