Description:  This is the first course in a 2-course Program.  Please register for each course separately.

This course is designed to give participants an introduction in to the core concepts and considerations in preparing a 2D program to be machined on a CNC router.  This course will take participants through compiling a program for a 2D design.  Then attempting to write a program using V-carve Pro, with guidance from the instructor.

Objectives:

• Learn how to set up a 2D NC program in order to take a digital model, and turn it into a physical product, machined on a router

• Learn when a router is the right tool for the job

• Learn to write a program which is both safe for the machine, as well as efficient

Audience:  For people who want to start making 2D products on the CNC router, and for people interested in learning about CNC machining.

Requirements:  Participants need to bring their own laptops with V-carve Pro installed
