Description: 

This course will provide a comprehensive introduction to digital fabrication. Participants will take a hands-on approach to learn the skills required to take a concept from idea to a tangible physical item. Covered in this course is Computer Aided Design concepts, designing and creating products using advanced tools such as 3D printers, Laser Cutters/Engravers, CNC Routers and more. The course is an excellent primer for those wishing to learn more about digital design and prototype production.


This is an introductory hands-on technical course. Participants will work both in the classroom and workshop to complete several projects during the term of the class.

All participants will membership to NewMakeIt during the term of the course, allowing them to complete assignments and bolster their skills outside of the normal class provided time.


Participants will require a WINDOWS based notebook computer and appropriate safety equipment (available) to complete the assignments in this course. Parts of this course will be in a workshop environment, so appropriate clothing should be worn.
Material fees will apply for material consumed by students during the course. The participant should budget approximately $40 for material fees.
