Have you always wanted to learn how to weld? Here’s your chance! Participants will learn to use arc (stick and wire) and MIG processes to weld metal in both vertical and horizontal positions, using proper joint preparation and fit-up techniques to ensure sound weldments. Upon successful completion participants will have the confidence to successfully complete any basic welding project.

All participants will receive complimentary Makerspace Membership to NewMakeIt during the term of the course, providing additional time and resources to bolster their skills and complete projects outside of the normal class time.

This class will take place both in a classroom and shop environment. Participants will be responsible for the necessary safety equipment (welding mask and gloves) and any material fees. Appropriate clothing should be worn during workshop based sessions. Participants should budget for approximately $100 in safety equipment and material costs.
