We will then take in the towns lovely parks and gardens before crossing the barrage to enjoy an Ice-cream in Cardiff Bay. We will then make our way back along the barrage and once again take in the magnificent views of the Bristol Channel.

A Moderate walk of 6.5 miles with one steepish climb (half a km) and some unavoidable road walking.

Through drover routes, fields and mixed woodland up onto Pen y Crug Iron Age Hillfort with fine views. Post walk refreshments, if interested, will be at The Tai’r Bull Inn in Libanus which is 4 miles from our car park and on the route home (A470).

With the help of bat detectors we should also be able to hear there ultrasonic calls.

Meeting at the car park opposite Iron Bridge Cottage pond. what3words //stiff.first.kickbacks at 7pm.

Owing to the size of the carpark, I would request that we strongly consider car share.
