Adult First Aid/CPR and AED Training - open to OHVA students in grades 9-12 only
*This is a hybrid training: Approximately 2 hours of online coursework will need to be completed before attending the 2-hour and 30-minute in-person training. After successful completion of the requirements, students will earn a Red Cross Certification.
*Students must physically be able to perform at least one set of compressions and breaths on a training mannikin in a kneeling position on the floor.
*Students need to be aware that there may be brief physical contact with another student while demonstrating the Heimlich maneuver for a person who appears to be choking.
*All required skills must be performed to the Red Cross standard, or a certificate will not be issued.
*There is no makeup session for the in-person training.

Head to the Children’s Library Creativity Lab (2nd floor, Main Library) for a playful, learn-by-doing afternoon: cozy Storytime, laugh-out-loud Puppet Show, hands-on STEM Activities, a Tour of the Children’s Library, and open Explore Time to follow your curiosity.
OHVA Teens: If your OHVA student is a teenager, please sign up and email the host at angelaovermyer40@gmail.com. There will be a separate teen program in the Teen Lab on the first floor.

The Industrial Revolution brought about many of the changes we have come to love and enjoy in our modern world, as you will learn about later in your 7th Grade History course! Fannie May is one of those stories of rich history and heritage. Founded by Harry London, Fannie May has a legacy spanning over 100 years, crafting premium chocolates, with its first store opening in 1920.
We look forward to touring this great company, learning about its history, and tasting some amazing chocolates made with the best ingredients!

*Tickets purchased at this link will be seated together with Ohio Virtual Academy (Section 219). You will receive the special School Day rate, taxes included), and your tickets will be emailed to you immediately after your purchase.

Concessions: Our game tickets do not include the food vouchers for the boxed lunches, at this time, so you will want to bring cash/credit card to buy additional concession stand items during the game to enjoy with your family.

Tickets: $25 each (plus a $1 fee charged by HomeTown). No extra money needed for snacks or drinks. (We know this is an increase in price, but it was unavoidable due to occurrences outside of OHVA's control, forcing a venue change.)
Dress Code: Dress to match the theme (theme is to be determined, so keep an eye out for more information), or in casual dress (jeans, T-shirts & tennis shoes), or in semi-formal dress (like a homecoming dance).
Music: The DJ will play a variety of non-offensive, popular music from various genres.
Photobooth: Will be available (free of charge) throughout the evening. Photo strips will be printed that night and will be available online after the event.
Hotel: A block of rooms has been reserved at a group rate. If interested in staying the night, don’t delay; the blocks are limited!
