This is the most differentiated practice with 3 teachers/helpers and a maximum 6 students.    We cover ringing techniques and listening by using IT to set Targets such as leading, covering, plain hunting and recently touches of Plain Bob Doubles – the important thing is that the students can set their own Targets.   At the moment this is full but if you are interested or, more importantly, know another ringer who might improve in this environment then email District Master Paul Beeken to be put on the reserve list: sdmaster:surreybellringers.co.uk

Practical sessions for calling and conducting simple methods and touches (plain bob, little bob, grandsire...doubles and minor) with the theory as well. Others also welcome to just ring the methods (to act as 'guinea pigs'!).

On the 2nd Friday of every month at Nutfield.

2nd Saturday of the month Southern District Surprise Major practice at Bletchingley. Methods rung: Standard 8 and spliced, plus Cambridge Royal if we have enough - we normally do. All welcome. Depending on the weather (neighbours' windows may be open) the practice may be held on the simulator. Organised by Noel Gibbin (sdsmaj@surreybellringers.org.uk)

This covers plain hunt on 5 and may be extended to 6.   

Helpers welcome, with enough the learners may practice ringing the treble to plain bob doubles.

A monthly practice specifically for those learning to ring Bob Doubles, Bob Minor and Little Bob Minor and touches thereof.

We normally hold a Northern District Practice every 3rd Saturday of each month.

The practices are held in different locations and at different times so check back here to find out what is arranged.

The Practices are normally arranged for all levels of ringing from those doing rounds and call changes upwards. There may be a focus on a specific method or methods if requested by the host tower -if there is to be a focus that will be noted on the specific day's event notice.

Due to current Covid 19 restrictions these practices are suspended. Please keep an eye open as to when ringing returns by keeping in touch with your tower and by following the Association news feeds on the website and forwarded via the Yahoo Groups feed.
