It will be held on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026 from 3 p.m.- 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children up to 10 years old. The menu consists of chili or soup, a hot dog, tater tots, a drink, and dessert. The live auction will begin at 5pm, and the silent auction will end at 6:30. All donations and funds raised support the Last-Minute Toy Shop Ministry, which provides new gifts for local children ages birth to 18 (still in school) at Christmas.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide the DeKalb County Commission and the public with an update on the jail project and an opportunity to better understand the project’s history, current status, and potential direction moving forward.

County Mayor-Elect Patrick Ray is encouraging members of the public to attend the meeting and become informed about the jail project.

This event is free and open to the public, and will feature a wide variety of vendors, displays, demonstrations, emergency preparedness resources, and interactive activities for attendees.

The event will also include displays and assets from agencies throughout the Upper Cumberland region, as well as specialized resources made available through Homeland Security, the Upper Cumberland Healthcare Coalition, and numerous regional partners.
