The directions for Outlook pertain to Outlook 2007. Earlier versions are known to have incomplete support for iCalendar.for Microsoft Office 365. Support for syncing to iCalendar has been in Outlook since Outlook 2007 (although earlier versions have different procedures for the process. Check Google if you are using a different version.

Step 2, Option 1: Add to Outlook as an "

Internet Calendar"

  1. Right click on "My Calendars" from within Outlook
  2. Select "File," Add Calendar" from the popup menu and then "Data File Management." Click the "Internet Calendars" tab. Click "New," and then paste the iCalendar URL from Step 1 into the field. Click "Add"
  3. A "Subscription Options" window now appears. You can rename the imported calendar if desired. Click "OK" when finished (the window closes). Close the Account Settings window as well.
  4. The imported calendar will appear under "Other Calendars" in the Calendars section on the left menuselect "From Internet..."
  5. A "New Internet Calendar Subscription" window appears. paste in the iCalendar URL address of your calendar (using the format at the top of this page)
  6. Click OK
