The group will be entertained by members of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Broom, and the meeting will conclude with the drawing of the raffle quilt, "Sea and Sky in CNY." Below is information about the group, and remember all are welcome just bring a dish-to-pass and table setting. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Broom is a nonprofit performance group based in Auburn, NY established in October 2018. Our group was inspired by Wolfshagen Hexenbrut, the German Dancing Witches! We are a group of nonjudgmental, energetic and creative women who love to make people smile! We are theatrical dancing ‘witches’. Our group has members from many different backgrounds and belief systems. We welcome new members who want to have fun, make friends, network with their peers and express their creativity. Our goal is to empower women of all abilities, sizes and ages (21+), NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! There is NO cost to members! New members are ALWAYS welcome! Darlene Morabito, our Director/Choreographer has decades of experience in professional dance study, performance, and teaching. Darlene believes that anyone and everyone can learn to dance with just a little instruction and encouragement. Our dance performance pieces are her original choreo. Our version of Schuttel deinen Speck while close to the Wolfshagen Hexenburt version, adds our own Sisterhood twist to the original. Our group loves to participate in community events! We aim to make people smile, dance along and have fun with us! If you need some whitchiness at your next event, please contact us! We are happy to provide entertainment for charitable causes! All inquiries welcome!
