The Odyssey in Ithaca Friday Apr 26 (All Day) Cornell UniversityHomer’s 'Odyssey' comes alive in Ithaca through 'Arts Unplugged,' a new series of events sponsored by the College of Arts & Sciences. The series kicks off April 26 with 'The Odyssey in Ithaca,' a daylong community reading of a new translation of Homer’s Odyssey featuring campus and community members. Reading will begin at 8 a.m. and continue until 8 p.m. in the Groos Family Atrium in Klarman Hall on the Cornell campus. The event is open to the public; audience members are free to attend for any part of the reading at any time of day.

A wide variety of acts will be presented, including student vocal and instrumental solos and duets, dance routines, Lansing adult musicians, and even a performance by the Middle School faculty group, Rogue Salami! Light refreshments will be served after the show.
This Spring fundraiswer benefits the Lansing Theater & Performing Arts Booster Club in their support of music and the arts in our Lansing schools.
The Showcase begins at 6:30 pm hosted by the Lansing Event Center, 1638 East Shore Drive.

Ticket prices: Adults $10; High & Middle School Students $5; Elementary Students and younger are Free.
