    Dayna Jorgenson will lead this workshop on the types of plants that can help enhance a healthy biosystem. Nurturing native plants in the garden and around the home can help to create food and shelter for diverse animals and insects. Join us for a walking conversation on how native plans can contribute to healthy and resilient habitats.

    Dayna Jorgenson is Director of Programs at Cayuga Nature Center.

    Learn more about restorative land management practices within a changing world. Discover better land stewardship practices and solutions for potential climate change-related complications.

    All workshops held rain or shine (barring really severe weather) Sundays at 1:00 pm. All walks begin at will last at least an hour. They are hikes, so participants should be prepared to be on their feet and out in the weather. In the event of a thunderstorm or worse, events will be canceled. Included with admission to the Cayuga Nature Center.

    $5 -$10 donation suggested. No-one turned away for lack of funds.

    Lansing is in a transition that affects our local and regional economy. How can we support a power plant conversion that benefits our community, our workers, and our environment?

    Join us for a Town Hall Meeting: Wednesday, May 29th 7:00-9:00 Lansing Town Hall - 29 Auburn Rd. Lansing

    Special Guest Speaker: Claire Muller, Lead Community Organizer at Toxics Action Center. Claire will share the story of successful “Coal-to-Sol” transition in Massachusetts.

    Representatives from the Lansing Town Board and Cayuga Power Plant will be available for questions about exciting new plans to transition the power plant to a data center.

    Representatives from HeatSmart Tompkins, Cornell Cooperative Extension, Renovus Solar and NexAmp Solar have been invited to bring  information on what residents can do to transition to renewable energy, too.
