Ithaca Reggae Fest Announces 2019 Lineup

Ithaca Reggae Fest, dedicated to the protection of Cayuga Lake through a conscious celebration of Ithaca’s legendary reggae community and its history, is proud to announce the lineup for its third annual festival to take place June 28 and 29, 2019 in Ithaca, New York.  The main event will take place on Saturday June 29 from 11 AM to 10 PM in Ithaca’s historic Stewart Park featuring performances from legendary Grammy award winning Jamaican recording artists Mykal Rose with Sly & Robbie alongside Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, Kevin Kinsella, Double Tiger, Cha Cha & The Medicinals, Dub Apocalypse, E.N Young and The Analogue Sons.  The official Pre-Party on Friday June 28 will feature a DJ Sound Clash and the After-Party Saturday June 29 will be hosted by The Crucials both at The Haunt. Weekend Passes and Saturday-Only Tickets are on sale now at IthacaReggaeFest.com.

This year the festival continues its mission of raising awareness about the environmental issues facing Cayuga Lake and the groups that are focused on preserving and protecting it with the return of the Education Village, supported by and showcasing local, regional and national organizations all dedicated to clean water.  In its first two years, thanks to the support of 6,000 attendees and numerous sponsors, Ithaca Reggae Fest has been able to raise over $10,000 in donations to local water focused groups. That includes a $7,500 matching donation to support the purchase of a new boat for the Cayuga Lake Floating Classroom, also known as Discover Cayuga Lake, an organization committed to inspiring future stewards of Cayuga Lake by providing hands-on learning opportunities in the interest of sustaining our Finger Lakes waterways for future generations.  This year the festival also continues its focus on community wellness with the return of the Wellness Village, International Food Village and Youth Village.

Weekend Passes and Saturday Only Tickets are on-sale now at IthacaReggaeFest.com.  As always, this is a family friendly event and children under the age of 16 are welcome free of charge at Stewart Park with the accompaniment of a parent or guardian.
