    Public Information Event at East Shore Park, Ithaca NY on July 11 and Cayuga Lake Hydrilla Treatment Summer 2019

    Members of the Hydrilla Task Force will be taking part in the Town of Ithaca’s Conservation Board Invasive Species Information event on July 11, 2019 from 5 – 7 p.m. at Ithaca’s East Shore Park (just north of the Sailing Center on East Shore Drive).

    People of all ages interested in exploration, observation, and management of invasive species threatening our environment are invited to attend.

    The Conservation Board will be joined by the Cayuga Lake Watershed Network and the Community Science Institute to discuss terrestrial and aquatic invasives including hydrilla and Harmful Algal Blooms.

    11th Annual Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway of Valor tribute Ride

    11 am - 5 pm

    Owego Free Academy

    The Tribute Ride form up at the Owego Free Academy on Sheldon Guile Blvd., in Owego, NY and depart at 11 am for the 100 miles ride on Route e8, known as the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway of Valor. The ride will stop at the American Legion in Groton, NY., for food and gas before departing once again at 1 pm once again of Route e8. The ride ends at the American Legion in Hannabla, NY., where there will be food and entertainment. The Tribute Ride is sponsored by Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 377 and by Blue Knights Chapter 17.

    Treleaven's 5th Annual Kings of Summer

    4 pm - 10 pm

    Kick off summer with great food, wine, beer, music and lots of family fun at Treleaven’s fifth annual Kings of Summer!

    Take in the sounds of the local area’s most prominent modern country and funk musicians. Dirtroad Ruckus will get the party started at 4pm with their ‘Modern Country with a Side of Southern' followed by the headliner, The Destination starting at 7pm. The 9-piece dance band will have you moving and grooving with its musical focus in the genres of R&B, Latin influenced material, Swing and Funk/Disco.

    Food lovers are invited to grab a bite of some tasty offerings from Simply Cookie. In addition to the great local fare, there will be wine specials, wine slushies and beers on tap.

    You won't want to miss out on the biggest summer party on the east side of Cayuga Lake!

    * No outside alcohol or food permitted.
