HeatSmart Tompkins is a non-profit community organization devoted to increasing home energy efficiency, saving people money, and reducing the whole community’s carbon footprint. At HeatSmart community meetings staff and leadership provide information on the effectiveness, personal economic benefits, direct health benefits, and community environmental benefits of adopting heat pumps. Heat pumps offer an energy-efficient alternative to furnaces and air conditioners. They work by transferring heat between your house and the ground, or the outside air. Radiance Meditation at The Yoga Farm Saturday Aug 11 8 am - 8:45 am The Yoga Farm 404 Conlon Rd, Lansing, NY 14882, USAAt Yoga Farm, we teach meditation for householders—people who live in the world, who have relatioships, jobs, families, houses, and to-do lists. In this weekly session, we work with a new Sutra from the book 'The Radiance Sutras' by Lorin Roche. Each Sutra is a beautiful exploration of one of the 'gateways' to meditation. From 8-8:15am we read, discuss and explore a Sutra, then we enjoy silent meditation together until about 8:45. This offering is FREE to the Public.
