The Greater Ithaca Art Trail Open Studio Weekends!

    Sunday Oct 13
    11 am - 5 pm

    Individual Artist Studios
    Tompkins County, NY, USA

On October 5, 6 and 12, 13, forty-one artist studios all across Tompkins County will open to the public from 11am to 5pm each day. Now in its 21st season, and with over 5,000 studio visits each year, the Art Trail continues to grow and gain visitor anticipation.

Imagine two beautiful fall foliage weekends. You pile your friends into a car to visit the artists of your choosing. Some studios are in downtown Ithaca, while others are along rural roads with hayfields as neighbors. Some are in cozy living rooms and some spaces are as interesting as the work itself. Chat with the artists, see their work, their materials, and their inspirations. Use this opportunity for your holiday shopping! Connecting with the artists and buying their work is a fun and exhilarating experience.

Explorers will find painters, photographers, sculptors, printmakers, fiber artists, potters, makers of fine furniture, mixed media, digital artists, and a blacksmith. From scraps of paper and shards of glass to an unfinished canvas or the smell of wet clay, an artist’s studio contains countless clues as to what lies beneath an artist’s work.

Visit ArtTrail.com for more information and print out the map/brochure! Or e-mail programs@artspartner.org to get one mailed to you, or find out where you can pick one up. Note: Studios are open year round by appointment and on most First Saturdays of each month.
