Ithaca Area United Jewish Community is working with the residents of Kendal at Ithaca in sponsoring an intergenerational day to do mitzvahs (good deeds). All are invited. We will focus on traditional Jewish actions such as honoring elders, feeding the hungry, kindness to animals and honoring the Sabbath. There will be activities for each area so folks can have fun while doing good. Also, elders will read stories to children and teens will be interviewing elders about their life stories. PJ Library, a national Jewish story book program, will be featured. Refreshments will be served. Best access is through the Visitor South Parking lot.

USA Americans love to eat pie. Making homemade pie is not difficult if you know a few tricks. The class includes demonstration of apple and pumpkin pies.
