Join us as this Ballard-based food writer sets out to spend a year exploring the food of the Pacific Northwest with her husband and young son. She will discuss razor clamming, building a backyard chicken coop, truffle hunting, and more—and how the book's adventures are all complicated and informed by efforts to help her five-year-old overcome the mobility limitations of cerebral palsy.
