On the first item, we've relaxed the clean-up rules for user-contributed events a bit, and the line spacing should now function properly.

I just tested it on the events that I created July 25 before I sent my 1st post. Unfortunately they still show the problem.

However, it DOES work on a new event I just added on Aug. 21.

Since I am still in the testing mode, the fact that the fix is not retroactive is not a problem for me.
