LoCalendar Responsive or not?
I believe I have tried every way to Sunday. Is there a way to use LoCalendar on RESPONSIVE web design which ALL websites have to be today?

Re: LoCalendar Responsive or not?
As I wrote on your ticket last week:

"Responsive" is an overloaded term, so could you provide more information on what you are specifically looking for?

For example. under Options->General, you can set a default calendar style that will be displayed for mobile users.
Also, when you publish a calendar on your site, the calendar will auto-fit to the dimensions (ie constrainging div) you place around it.

We haven't received any more information from you in response.

Re: LoCalendar Responsive or not?
I responded to your email but keep getting an "undelivered message." Here was my response:
Thank you. Yes I see the list view that can be used for mobile. The problem is the whole issue of readability is gone. The text is unreadable and so are the pop-ups. Being properly responsive would take care of those issues and make the text readable. What the list view does is SHRINK the page, not present the material in a responsive format. Or am I missing something? I just signed up last night and if I can't resolve this my subscription is useless. I love the features of your program but if it can't be read on small screens and about 25% of those using the net are using small screeens, I can't use it. I have a fully responsive site at http://caught.net and if you see it on the desktop and then on a small phone you will see the text remains fully readable on any size screen. Please let me know as I need to move forward with this project.
From your response it seems you are saying responsive web design means you just shrink a page to fit. Responsive web design is when ALL material is presented without the need to pinch and/or resize the material to be able to see or read it.

Re: LoCalendar Responsive or not?
If I were going to do this, first I'd set the default view for desktops (and tablet) to be "Month block". For mobile, I'd select "list style".

On my calendar footer (under options->General) I'd reference one of our custom CSS hooks for the list views (http://localendar.com/docs/display/lc/Custom+Calendar+CSS) to make the font-view for the list style only to be the size I wanted:
<style>.view_style_M1 *{font-size:32px;}</style>

I'll check the help system to make sure replies are being allowed through correctly (btw, this is a more appropriate topic for the forums anyway smile )

Re: LoCalendar Responsive or not?
Thank you. I will test this out but I believe this does not help with readability of the fonts when people click on an event. I will get back to you and the support email can be cancelled so the discussion can continue here. For those experienced in web sites, this is a VERY important issue for those that really know the necessities of today's web.

Re: LoCalendar Responsive or not?
We can discuss solutions for clicking on an event.. but I would assume for the best experience for a mobile user, you might want to avoid the pop-up. There are list views that show both the event text and description all on the same page.

update: We have added a "lc_mobile_usr" class on event pop-ups being viewed by a mobile device. We have also captured some of the other information in this thread on this page:

Re: LoCalendar Responsive or not?
I tested out your suggestions and they definitely improved the visibility on the areas we discussed. Thank you! My question now is, on the list view...is there any way the dates can be made bigger also? I can read the event but not the date unless I expand the page considerably.

Re: LoCalendar Responsive or not?
Not quite yet. While we could apply the CSS class to the list view dates, there is inline CSS that needs to be removed first in order for you to be allowed to style it.

I've added that to our internal tracker, but there's another release already in progress so it will prob happen after that one of the next.
