Returned Ads Been using Localendar for many years. (before the ads I believe) Pay premium to not have the ads. I had forgot to change cards through pay pal due to original card being stolen. got notice from PP payment didn't go through on Jan 20th, contacted them and corrected error. They said they were resubmitting payment 1/23. Was shocked to see an ad at the top of calendar today (first time I had been out to actually and saw an ad). Is this ad due to my oversite and when payment is received tomorrow (23rd) that ad will go away? Or is this something new that is going to cost more to get removed. Guess no grace period on LC payment. Thanks for response cin ---------------------------------------- ccccwebsite Circle City Corvette Club |

Re: Returned Ads With Paypal, once a card has been changed (even if it's a re-issue with the same exact # but a later expiry date) they will not update any existing subscriptions. We're in the middle of testing an alternative solution which will have more reliability in these circumstances. But as you probably already noticed on the 23rd, the ads have been removed once again. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Re: Returned Ads We also did move to that alternative (Stripe) for new subscribers. If all goes well we will allow "legacy" subscribers to move to Stripe as well (you'll have to cancel Paypal to keep it from renewing). Not only does Stripe allow us to more easily offer a "grace period" between renewals, it also lets us give members the ability to cancel their plan directly from localendar instead of having to go find it on Paypal. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
