Uploading Clipart
cool

I want to upload clipart from a program I purchased several years ago for use at home and at our church. It is called American Greetings by Broaderbund (I think that is spelled correctly). However, I am not sure if uploading this for use on my caledar would violate copywrite laws per your not in the upload screen. Can you advise?

Re: Uploading Clipart
You're asking me this when you have a Mickey Mouse avatar biggrin

I would imagine that it would violate the copyright laws of American Greetings - but I don't have a copy of their end-user license agreement.

Re: Uploading Clipart
I am going to assume by the smart comment at the beginning, that you are using clip-art that is not quite legal or is questionable?

Is the end-user licensing agreement something I would find printed and included with the software? If so, what would I look for it to say to indicate that I could or could not up-load it? If you can just give me a general idea, I can take it from there. Using the software is one thing, but the legal ramblings are another!

Thanks for your help in this matter.

Re: Uploading Clipart
I'm only making fun of your using copyrighted material for your avatar :-)

Usually, the terms of use are packaged with the software. They probably include things governing how/where you may use the software and/or the included clipart. I would consider localendar to be a "public place" - if they don't mention restricting it for your own personal use, I don't think it's an issue.

Re: Uploading Clipart
I figures you were only making fun! Thanks for the info though as I am going to check it now. With this being a public site I don't want to put anyone in a rough spot.

By the way, I glance at these forums occassionally and want to comment you for handling most situation pretty quickly - and despite the frustration I see sometimes from others this site has been great for our church. It is so easy to use! It looks nice with our website and is easy for others to find info in. Thanks a bunch!

Re: Uploading Clipart
All of a sudden, my uploaded clipart is appearing as an "X" in a box. I went to the uploaded clipart section and deleted all of the old stuff and tried re-uploading the good stuff . . . get message that there is "0" upload space?

Re: Uploading Clipart
It appears your subscription expired 5/11, hence the uploaded images were disabled. I checked with Paypal, and your renewal also came in on that date, so I am not sure why we did not receive notification to update your account.

I've manually fixed this, and adjusted the end date for the days you missed (although Paypal will still process renewals on the same day of the year)
