not much information on the site... does this calendar support some type of API or something to post events automatically according to user input?

Good question. Not at the moment, though we have an internal API and have discussed providing an external version. The primary concern is some kind of metering/monitoring to prevent people from creating lots of spammy events.

Not much publicly besides "in progress" smile

We are balancing the API work with a number of other items including
* caldev support
* wordpress plugin enhancements
* regular/general calendar enhancements
