I posted 2 test events. One on the May 9th with an image and one on August 23rd without an image. The one with an image shows fine (yellow background on calendar and white background for event pop up) However, the August 23rd event is blacked out until hovered and blacked out for event pop up. How can this be corrected? Thank you.

seekye,

You created a custom category called "Birthdays" and set the color to be black.
You then created your Aug 24 event and added it to the "Birthdays" category (hence, it's black)

You should either edit the Birthdays category and change the background color to something else, or update the Aug 24 event and remove it from the Birthdays category.

As a reminder, you can access the Custom Categories page by clicking the Add Event button (or editing an existing event) and clicking the "Edit Categories" link by the Category drop-down.

(also; it's not necessary to post the same issue to multiple threads)
