I see that I should be able to post info beyond one year, but I am not able to get beyond the immediate one year. Is this a feature that is given only to paid subscribers?

Can you explain what you mean by "get beyond"?
You can always go to Dec this year and click the forward arrow, or you can type in a date (like 1/1/15) into the "Jump to Date" box just below the mini nav calendar on the left menu.

You do not need a premium subscription to access this functionality.
