Hi,

We've had this ongoing issue with subscription fees since February this year. I've included the previous posts below.

The renewal date has been corrected as mentioned below, However we recently were charged with a further subscription fee in september -even though we had renewed the subscription in Februrary earlier and localender had manually adjusted our subscription to oct 2014.

I believe the confusion stems from that fact that we paid a subsciption renewal earlier than was required in feb13. However, paypal has since made an auto scheduled deduction to our account in september.

I am a little confused as to how to rectify this situation. Our preferred solution would be to have extra deduction reimbursed to our paypal account.

Your help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Lane Cove council

Hi, I emailed this to support, but did not get a reply so I thought Id post here as well...(sorry for double dipping)

Hello,

Lane cove council subscribes to local calendar $29.95 premium service. We recently received notification from paypal that processing of payment from an old registered credit card had failed. As we were unable to find the previous paypal details, we resubscribed for another year via the localender website for a further year on a new paypal account. Our understanding was that the paid account: http://www.localendar.com/public/lanecove was expiring in September 2013. Given that we resubscribed for one further year, the subscription should expire September 2014. However, when we log onto our calendar, the expiry date for the premium service is given as March 2014.

Could you please advise why the expiry date is appearing as March as our understanding is that re-subscription should take effect from the original date of expiry in September 2013

I've manually adjusted your end date. I'm not sure if when Paypal renews next it will use the current date or just add a year to what you already have. If we need to make an adjustment again, just let us know.

Hi again,

We've noticed a payment charge on the 8th of September for a subscription renewal. As per the previous email thread, we were not due to for subscription payment until September 2014?

Should I follow this up with Paypal? Ideally we would like this amount refunded, given the current subscription paid in Feburary this year will not expire until September 2014.

I searched for all transactions against your account since Jan 1, 2013.

For the Paypal account tied to "inaylor@l...au", I see 2 transactions: a Sep 8, 2013 payment, and a Feb 13 2013 cancellation. I do not see any other payments or transactions for 2013.

The Sep 8 payment was related to subscription, which was created in 2008
S-18R56395H6194874U for the "lanecove: calendar.

The Feb 2013 cancellation applied to a subscription against a separate calendar you have at localendar, titled "corpevents"

I took it on your word regarding the subscriptions, payments, etc and made the adjustment below. However on closer inspection of the Paypal records, I think you may have confused these two calendars.

What I need from you are the specific transaction ids, subscription ids, and localendar member names to which you think the payments apply so I can confirm on Paypal.

You did pay twice under 2 different accounts on 2 different dates for the same calendar.

i..@l...gov.au
S-18R56395H6194874U; Premium Webmaster Sep 8 2013; for account 'lanecove'

m..@l...gov.au
S-48R42277B7683931C; Premium Webmaster Feb 11, 2013 for account 'lanecove'

The payment in Feb is for a renewal that should go until Feb 2014 (1 year)
The payment in Sep would have pushed the renewal date to Sep 2014 (1 year from when that was paid)

I am cancelling /refunding the Sep 8 payment from the l.. account and resetting the subscription expiry date on lanecove to Feb 11, 2014

Hi Marc,

Thanks for cancelling inaylor@l......au transaction. I can confirm that the funds have been returned back to us.

However, I do not believe the expiration date should be rolled back to FEB 14. If you follow the email trail above, you will notice that the original email from us was precisely for this reason. As in, we made an early payment to our account than was required - however the account was always expiring in SEP 2013. We contacted you because the renewal date was not reflecting the years subscription (paid early) (which you corrected manually) This was paid via a newly ceated a new account mis@l...au. However, paypal deducted a subsequent payment again on September 8 to our inaylor@....au account (which you now have reimbursed) But now you have rolled back the renewal date to FEB 14 again.

The confusion stems from the fact the in FEB 2013 we paid a subscription which was due on Sep 8 2013. However, because of that payment, the renewal was reset from FEB 2013 to FEB 2014, when ideally it should have been renewed to SEP 08 2014

The expiration/renewal date should still be SEP 2014, not FEB 14.

Thanks
