Edit this Post   Can't delete repeating event ! Reply to this Post

Hi, hope someone can help!

I can't delete an event which I added - the event repeats every day for the whole of 2014 (I thought it unwise at the time...).
I have read the forum and can't find anything that helps.

This is what happens: I click on the event, I click on Edit the series, I click on delete, the page goes blank. I have also tried via options/Events and the "To clear your calendar for a specified date range, click here..". It didn't work.

Thanks if you can help.
Sarah

I have a similar problem. I cannot delete nor make any changes on my calendar. Anytime i try to update or post a new event I get a blank page.

marnecultuur ,

I found the event, clicked Edit (Series) and then Delete, and the event was successfully removed. No blank page or error messages.

2E5, if you are still having issues, please provide the event title/date and I will take a look and see if there are any problems (but I would ask you to try one more time first)

Thanks very much Marc.
I did the whole process you described many times, in ALL browsers in case that was the problem. I don't usually have any problems editing or deleting events, I suspect it was the 'volume' this time - every day until end 2014. Won't be doing that again!
Thanks again,
Regards.

I, too, cannot delete a repeating event. Here are the events I cannot delete:

1st Monday of every month starting March 3:
6:30 - 7:30 Mayville Historical Societ6y Board meeting

2nd and 4th Sunday of every month starting on March 9:
1:30 - 4:30 Mayville Museum Complex Open

Thanks for any help.

For your first example (1st Monday of every month starting March 3)
I clicked on the event, selected "Edit the Series" and then clicked the Delete button.

The event was removed as expected. I leave it to you to follow the same process for the Mar 9 event, which should also be removed correctly.

When I click on the repeating event for April 7, nothing happens. I do not get an option to Edit the Series nor does the event open so I could do any editing. I've tried single clicking, double clicking, right clicking, etc.

Thanks for any additional support on this.

When I use Localendar, my browser is IE 11. IE will not allow me to edit a series either in compatibility mode or noncompatibility. However, I can edit a series when I use the browser Google Chrome.

Thanks for the specifics. I'm not sure where our test suite is with IE11 right now, but I'll make sure to check this specific behavior.
