I tried to merge a google public calendar and nothing shows up on localender. I made the calender public but am hiding the details.
I took the ical address of the public address and used this to merge with localendar. nothing shows up.
If I take the private ical address, then everything shows up and it merges.
If I make the calendar public and show details and then merge, it merges and my details show up on localendar.
It seems to be related to the hide details and only show free/busy.
Is this a bug?

If you hide the details, I am guessing that Google sends the events over as "Free/Busy" entries and not actual events. We currently only import events and do not process "Free/Busy" indicators (though this may change soon!)
