I imported events from Google Calendar, but discovered that many months have double events for same time slots. How can I delete the double entries? |

This is strange... I checked your calendar, and you have only entered the address of your Google calendar *once*, so you should not see the double events. But there they are - doubled on certain days. When I add the calendar url to my calendar, the events do not repeat. I set up a new calendar and they do.. it appears the iCal refresh must be happening twice for some reason, with duplicate events, delete events, and general messiness being the result. We are digging into this issue to figure out what is going on. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Thank you so much for checking into this. Is it possible to edit the calendar postings by going to the source calendar (Google)? If so, then there must still be a link between the Google calendar and loCalendar. I don't really want to use the Google calendar for the website. There are lots of weird symbols in the text for those posts too. I can't correct in loCalendar, ubt sounds as if I might be able to by going back to original Google calendar. Once I get this cleaned up, is there a way to cancel the refresh function entirely? |

Yes - btw, I am not having the double-posts issue anymore - are you? I noticed a lot of the garbage characters also. Those come in with the Google feed. It appears that they were pasted directly into the event description on Google. There is a link between Google and localendar; it's the iCal feed you imported. If you change an event on Google, it will be automatically updated on localendar. If you want to enter the events directly on localendar, that's fine. To remove the Google feed , click Import, and select the Google tab. Click the link for the iCalendar merge page. From there, you can select the imported calendar and remove it. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
