I think it would be helpful if we could change the font size on the portion that displays on the calendar prior to clicking on it. I know we can change the font size on the body of the message, but it would be nice if I could make it larger on the calendar screen.

I'm not 100% sure about where you want to change the font size, but localendar exposes a number of CSS "hooks" for you to do this manually:
http://www.localendar.com/docs/display/lc/Custom+Calendar+CSS

For example, if you want to change the font size on the month-block calendar, you can enter this style information into the Calendar Title field (under Options->General)

<style>.m-usr{font-size:32px;}</style>
