Hey - so here's my styled calendar, looking nice - displaying a bunch of events from several merged ICS links. http://www.cmdalsu.com/test/?page_id=87 However when I click on the RSS feed at the bottom - no events are displayed (none of the events from the merged calendars are displaying in the feed). http://www.localendar.com/public/alicestout?style=D3 I'm baffled - how come the merged events aren't showing up in the feed? Halp! And many thanks in advance :) |

It seems like almost all of your events are coming from imported iCals. I believe that merged (from localendar and iCal) calendars are not shown in the RSS, nor are they included in the iCal export at the bottom of the calendar. While I think the RSS integration would be possible, I know that taking a merged iCal feed(s) and creating a "wrapper" feed around it to also include your native localendar events would be problematic. I'll check and see what's up with RSS events Update: I think the RSS feed is empty because the D3 feed shows RSS events for the current day (and you don't have any in August). WE would usually recommend people subscribe to the M3 (month's events) in RSS. But you don't have events for all of Aug. It looks like your first imported event started on Sept 3. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news ---------------------------------------- [Edit 2 times, last edit by support at Aug 27, 2014, 8:25:48 PM] |

Thank you so much for your swift reply! So, for sure there is NO way to display a list or view of imported/merged iCal events that can be subscribed to or viewed in the RSS link at the bottom? It's just not possible with merged calendars - only native localendar events input directly into that account? I checked the "month" view too - and clicked on the RSS feed for that and nothing shows up underneath it either. Here's a live demo: http://wp.music.lsu.edu/events-month/ (these are all events from merged iCal/ics feeds). |

As I mentioned, RSS should work, but the iCal export wont. I see you replied on Aug 28, and the RSS feed displays events for the current month. Since you had no events for Aug, the feed was empty. I just checked the feed from your month view (http://www.localendar.com/public/lsumusic?style=M3) and it has a lot of events for September. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
