We are re-introducing our search for nearby local events, which was one of the core initial features of localendar (in fact, that's where the local part of localendar came from) We removed this feature some time ago because it was not properly implemented to support non-United States members, and because it was not fast enough. We have addressed both of these issues. I have posted a public event with the appropriate zipcode. The description of the event eludes to the fact of a public search. I just goggled our event and in fact could not find it. Is this pushed to the actual public and if so how. I could not find any direction information about this. The reason for my asking is that we do offer "free" public events and show them on our website. This is one reason why we chose to go to localendar instead of using our existing calendar that has a problem. "If your Public Event is open to anyone, check this box. This will add your event to the national localendar database. Anyone who does a search for your area will find out about your event". |

Per the post above, your event is added to our global (not national, we should correct that) database which is searchable here: http://www.localendar.com/cal?JSP=Search You can also access the link for Search from your calendar's Search button.
