Not sure if this is a problem, or a feature that has not yet been implemented, so I will post it here. Localendar has a 'This event repeats' feature on the Edit Event screen, which is great, but it only seems to work in one specific instance. Let, say, for example, I have already created an event for Feb. 1; no event repeat. If I open this event to edit it, and I add a repeat option for say, Feb. 2-4, with the 'Date:' field still Feb. 1. I then am presented with an 'Update' choice. Clicking that works fine, and I now have an event from Feb. 1 through Feb. 4. However, lets say that instead, I want the new events to run from Feb. 7- Feb.10. I again bring up the Feb. 1 event, but in this case, I set the 'Date:' field to Feb. 7. I then repeat it until Feb. 10. Now I have a 'Save As Copy' option instead of an 'Update' one. I click 'Save As Copy', and the Edit Event screen goes away. But the events NEVER appear on the calendar. It is like I never entered the Feb. 7- Feb. 10 data in the first place. I hope I have explained everything clearly enough. Any thoughts on this one? How about having your event go from Feb. 1 - Feb. 10 and skipping the days in between, so Feb. 2 - 6 ? |

That would work in the example you gave, because there are not many days in between to delete. But what if I wanted the repeat dates to be March 7-10? That means I have 30+ days to delete, which takes a lot more time. Harry |

You lost me, because we don't let you create an event for a Date, and then enter a range of dates for it to repeat on. For example, if you enter an event for Feb 1, it is impossible to specify that you want it to repeat from Feb 2 through Feb 4. We don't have the 3 fields this implies: Event Date, Repeat Start, Repeat End. I created a non-repeating event on Feb 1.. works fine I changed the start date to Feb 2, said I wanted it to repeat until Feb 4.. Saved.. works fine Opened it again and changed the event date to Feb 7, repeats until Feb 14.. Still OK. I believe I followed those steps and everything still worked fine for me. Would you mind checking again? ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

I should know by now that every time you say this, I am in trouble. I tried it several times and it works fine. Have no idea why I could not get it to work before. Harry ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by OPwebmaster at Feb 10, 2015, 5:23:00 AM] |

I shouldn't leave you with the impression that "sometimes you just have to keep trying until it works" or "you must be doing something wrong". So glad to see the solution was technology and not luck. Thanks, Harry |
