We now support importing CSV data into custom categories you have already created.

The Custom Categories page now displays a Category Id column. You can use this # in your CSV file. The sample.csv file shows where to put this value.

Exported CSV files will also now contain the event's category Id

Just a "Quick Note"? You are selling yourself "way" short.
This is a major breakthrough/enhancement!
This "little" note/change, has saved me hours upon hours of manual updating of over 100 events!

And the main reason we were swayed into finally implementing this was b/c of the long conversations you and OPwebmaster (Harry) were having about this issue smile

Re: The results using CSV import into location field.
In event there are two fields
Location
Street Address

The CSV import correctly imported into Location, but when you view the event it is not mapped. The google mapping appears to only work on the Street Address.

Either:
How can you make address in Location field "map"?
or
How can you import the CSV address into Street Address?

I also tried using Google Calendar import - and the same result.

We presently can import a location description, but not a mappable location. The short reason is b/c when you enter a location at localendar, we can check with Google to make sure it is mappable (and convert it to lat/long for pinpointing on a map)

For imported locations, we have no way to verify that the information in the field is valid. In the future, we might try and find a way to verify/scrub this data on import.
