Hi,

First off your app was exactly what I needed for my site and I was very happy with the price.

I would like to know is there any way that on the weather part (which I love) is there any way to add the wind speed and direction?

I look forward to your reply

Regards
Paul

We're not sourcing it from our weather provider at this time, but I checked and the data is available.

Not only could we get wind speed and direction, we could also obtain:
Significant wave height (meters)
Swell height (meters)
Swell period in (secs)
Swell direction
Tide data

It appears to be available in 3, 5, and 7 day increments. I am curious if you think this information is of much use past 3 days (since there are incremental costs in getting it)

Also, it appears at most we could only get a fresh update every hour. In some cases, it would be up to 3 hours old. I am curious what you feel about those limits as well.

Let me know your answers to the above and I'll look into it a bit more.

Hi that is fantastic news,

That is way more information than I thought possible and would be very useful to me and I am sure others.

As for the amount of time updates for me personally tide will not change enough for me to change my mind about going or not it is purely for the information of my clients.

Once a day update and 3 to 7 days in advance would be perfect.

I await your reply

Many thanks
Paul

Hi Paul,

Hopefully you are still watching this thread and can provide a little input.
One of the challenges we are having with integrating marine weather data is location.

For your regular calendar weather, we use the location specified under Options->Security. This could be a home address, business location, etc.
But for marine weather, I think we need to get to a specific lat/long. Perhaps you want to enter a buoy id?

I'm curious
1) how you'd like to specify the location
2) if you would like more than 1 location
3) if >1 location, how the different values would be shown on your calendar (perhaps you only want the marine forecast info on an event and not the calendar itself?)

Tx,
Matt
