First off, I love the Search feature.

1) I'd like to be able to put a Title in at the top of the search. Right now, when you click Search, you lose all context to what and where you are. There is nothing that I can see which shows you what site you're in.

2) What is the Type column on the far right-hand side? Is that like the All-Day Event flag or something?

3) I'd like to have the ability to have the user select the category from a human-readable-description category drop-down as part of their search criteria AND also be able to default the category based on a URL. Ex: We have head-to-head meets. Each meet is entered 3 times; once for each team with their appropriate category and then once with a division category. If the user searches on a keyword for that event, they get all 3 returned. It does show in the results that they are for different categories, but it overall, inflates the number of search hits X3. Searching for events for only their team..... and maybe the ability to include some common categories by default would REALLY make the search feature shine. A category parameter like the calendar has would be GREAT!

It sounds like you are talking about the public search feature?

Would adding the calendar title to the top be acceptable, or do you want to be able to customize this screen specifically?

The type column. That should only be visible when the calendar owner is searching the calendar - not a regular visitor.

If an event is public, then the column is blank. If an event is private, the column will show '(private)'.

If we could have the header/title and footer, from the Options|General tab, that would be awesome

A related question, is there a way to embed the search feature?

I tried to put it in a frame so I can have a header from my page across the top, but it didn't work (won't display).

Having the ability to display a header/title & footer accomplishes the same thing.

Not that I think about it searching by Category via URL parameter would be awesome as well.

The title/footer from the calendar itself is completely reasonable. I'll see what I can do.

You should also be able to iframe it - I'll have to look at the underlying code to be sure (maybe we'll even set up a friendly url like localendar.com/search/lbsl)

..and I know why you want to restrict the search to category by URL.. have to think about that one though smile
