I have a Wordpress.com set (not .org) so I cannot use Plugins.

What I really wanted was to put the calendar on the page but I've tried editing the page in html and pasting the code in but it just doesn't work.

I've then tried using the use the html widget to display the mini calendar on the sidebar but it won't work.

I tried an RSS feed of upcoming events but that didn't work either.

It's almost impossible for me to see what you are pasting into your Wordpress site on your side; I can only see the results.

In the HTML Calendar section on your page, it looks like the HTML you pasted from localendar is being treated as text, and not HTML.

I can't see what RSS feed you are using, but I can see the error that says "The feed is probably down". Your feed is:
http://localendar.com/public/AllyAldridge?style=M3
and it works fine for me (please let me know if you pasted something different.

The mini calendar is one of the more complicated publish styles, and with the limited control wordpress.com seems to be offering, I am not surprised you are having trouble. I would experiment with one of the much simpler (1 or 2 line!) calendar styles first (like the responsive iframe)

At least you can use that style to figure out how to properly paste HTML into your site. You might also check for any help/docs wordpress.com has available.
