Greetings,

I am new to LoCalendar, and had some event questions.

#1. Is there a way to only list an event's start time on the calendar?

#2. Is there a way to change the time from 6:00pm to 6pm (trying to condense a lot of info onto one calendar view)?

#3. Is there a view option that puts the time on the same line as the event description (to make it a bit more compact)?

#4. How can I turn off the forced underlining of an event?

#5. Is there a way to just use color as an outline, rather than fill the whole event?

#6. Is there a way to remove event creation options from sub-members on co-branding (i.e. disable inserting a graphic, limit title characters, etc.)?

#7. Lastly, is there a way to edit future events without having to edit all previous ones and then create a new series?

Sorry for the long post. Thanks to anyone who can help me in advance!

Dan:

I can answer #1. Set the Duration to 0 hours and 0 minutes.

Support will have to answer #2 thru #6. I don't know of any way.

Regarding #7. If I understand your question, you currently have an event set up to repeat say, every day at 3 PM, for 2 weeks. At the end of one week, you want to change all future events to 5 PM. Is that the question?

If so, here is what I do. At the end of the 1st week, open the series (not the specific event), and change the end date to the date the 1st week ends, and Save it. Then open it again, change the time to 5 PM, and the start and end dates to what fits the second week, and do a Save As Copy.

Thanks so much for the help. I'm still waiting for support to answer #2-#6, but nothing yet. I tried emailing, but also no response.

Thanks again!

Where did you "email" exactly? We only monitor the forums and support tickets. And general queries like this should be posted here.

#2. Is there a way to change the time from 6:00pm to 6pm (trying to condense a lot of info onto one calendar view)?
The default views do not show minutes for events on the hour. Where are you seeing "6:00pm" ? If you have selected a 24-hour clock, minutes will always be displayed.

#3. Is there a view option that puts the time on the same line as the event description (to make it a bit more compact)?
Not for month-views

#4. How can I turn off the forced underlining of an event?
There are 2 ways.. under Options->Events, you can hide underlines for events with no description. You can also edit your calendar's CSS to remove the underline: http://localendar.com/docs/display/lc/Custom+Calendar+CSS
(you would want to override the .list-event-title-usr class)

#5. Is there a way to just use color as an outline, rather than fill the whole event?
No - the entire event is color-coded

#6. Is there a way to remove event creation options from sub-members on co-branding (i.e. disable inserting a graphic, limit title characters, etc.)?
Not at this time. That level of customization is certainly possible on a technical level, but giving admins that level of granular control would make the interface very clunky and cumbersome.

My entry says: 'Hide links on events that have no Description' rather than 'hide underlines'. Is there a difference?

There's a difference in the sense that I think NIMTest wants to hide *all* underlines (which can only be done via CSS) vs. hiding only for events with no further information (the checkbox under Options)
