I admit I've very new to the concept of RSS feeds and how they work, but I'm trying to place an animated headline feature on my website which is generated from the RSS of my localendar. Unfortunately, it only seems to recognize the specific weekly styles (W1, W2, etc.), which I'd have to update weekly to keep current, or the monthly style, which means at the end of May it's showing events from the beginning of May. Is it possible to have an RSS feed for the W0 style (which would ensure my animation is always current, or very close)? Thanks.

I LOVE localendar by the way - I keep bragging about it to all my friends :)

Actually, to be more specific, when I enter the W0 styled url, feedburner.com responds with this error:

The URL you entered does not appear to be a valid feed. We encountered the following problem: Error on line 45: The element type "META" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "</META>".

Perhaps it's there but there's a tag that needs to be closed?

First: The meta-error was a problem with something we added recently - that should be gone now

Second: There isn't a W0, W1, or W2 RSS feed per-se. Those views are HTML, and if you send them to an RSS Reader, you will have problems. However: if you look at those views, they will have an RSS link, and that's what you want to use.

Actually, it seems it was the meta tag that was causing me problems. It's working very nicely now. Thanks so much!

Hi there - I'm just noticing a new problem with my RSS feed. It was working beautifully, but seems to have stopped since you guys were down a while back. I just tried to reconfigure it in feed burner, and I get this error:

The URL you entered does not appear to be a valid feed. We encountered the following problem: Error on line 3: The processing instruction target matching "[xX][mM][lL]" is not allowed.

This is the url I gave them: http://www.localendar.com/public/OSDS?style=W3

And just to give my complete details, it should be feeding to the graphic on this page:

Can you let me know if it's a problem on your end or mine? Thanks so much smile

I think this is related to the <?xml version...?> line not being the absolute first line in the file. We're checking into it now...

It's working great again. Thanks so much.

Also wanted to add - everyone is telling me how fabulous I am for making our website look so amazing, all thanks to our event calendar. Thank you for making me look so good! wink
