Please let us know immediately! Google's policy is supposed to be "family friendly ads" only, but it seems lately their quality control has gone down. Supposedly "You don't have to worry an about adding porn sites or other unfavorable sites to these filters because Google will not serve these ads to your site anyway." Yeah.. I think we've all seen differently recently. We can block undesired ads, but we must have the underlying url. For example, some members recently complained that they were seeing ads from Playboy but no one responded to our requests to supply the actual url. We asked playboy.com to be blocked, but it finally turned out that the site was actually "playboystore.com". We are committed to removing objectionable content immediately (and shame on Google for adding it!) but we need out members to right-click on the ad and paste the url so we know who to block! ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news ---------------------------------------- [Edit 2 times, last edit by support at Mar 15, 2009, 8:59:45 PM] |

Our school/church website has playboy ads showing up all over the calendar!! This caused a great deal of problems last evening when one of the children got into the playboy store!! We pay for premium service and there are to be NO ads at all...what is going on? |

Per my earlier email, your subscription apparently expired March 1. Please reserve the Announcements forum for posts by localendar.com staff. Also, a new contact category for "objectionable ad content" has been added to the Contact Us support form. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

If you don't want any ads you will need to sign up for a Premium subscription. We cannot block all ads from your calendar. However, if they are not "family friendly" we can certainly help you out. Just right click on the ad and select copy. Then paste it into an email. In the future, please reserve the "announcements" section of forums for localendar.com staff. There is a new section for objectionable content in the forums. Sarah Giles Support Associate Localendar.com |
