No emails are sent when a user posts a new event on my calendar. As far as I can tell, the options page is correctly configured to send me an email for approval.

Make sure you check the email address listed under the Security tab under Options and verify that it's correct.

Also, be sure to check your spam folder for emails from @localendar.com. The messages come from 'calendar_monitor@localendar.com'

I am having the same problem. I am emailed support a few times about this issue.

The email notifications about new events posted by the public worked for a day and then after we purchased a premium subscription they stopped.

I checked my spam folder and nothing.

I really hope someone can help me with this issue.

thank you,
David

Hi David,

The previous post was from Aug 9, but I checked into your issue.
I learned that our email servers have been under recent attack from spammers, which has been affecting delivery of some messages, support tickets, and reminders.

We are working to correct this issue, and as of now, the situation should already be greatly improved.

Please let us know if you continue to have issues receiving emails.

Thank you for the response. I am sorry you had problems with your servers.

Is the problem solved as of now (9/16/14)

Should we expect to receive emails about events that were posted during the problem?

Also, what is the normal timeframe from when someone posts an event until I receive an email notification about the newly posted event?

I just posted a test event at 7:32pm EST on Sept 16th. I'll let you know when I get the notification.

Mark -

All the settings are correct.

Still no email notification about the event I posted on 9/16/14.
Can we discuss via phone?

Thank you,
David

Alas, we're not set up to handle phone support.
Did you receive an email via the Request Password test as I suggested?

That's good; it means there isn't some other site along the way blocking our emails. I will put a test event on your calendar and have the reminders sent to both of us. I'll add a test event as well.

Update:
I submitted an event to your public calendar. I received an email to my address I used on the form notifying me that I had submitted an event.

I also made myself the owner of your calendar in our dev environment. I submitted an event there as well. I received both the email that I had submitted an event, and the email as the calendar owner that a new event had been submitted.

The emails (and tweets, fwiw) are definitely all going out. I also just looked at our production logs.

Are you sure there is no spam filter on your account for calendar_monitor@localendar.com? Have you asked your email provider?
