I'm adding a calendar to my school's web site. I want people to be able to look at it and click on events to get the appropriate details. Which option do I need to choose so that can be facilitated? Also, when I make a change to my calendar, will it automatically show up as changed on the embedded version of the calendar on the school's wiki? Thanks |

Changes (or new events) are added to all of the calendar views automatically. And your visitors will be able to click on an event and get its details with both views. The main difference between the views is that the "static" version will display only the current month, and the "dynamic" one will display the arrows for visitors to move between months. The dynamic view relies on an iframe, the static one does not. Thanks for the clarification. We will be posting the calendar on our school's wiki page. Do you know which will work better, or will they both be okay? |

If you don't need to allow visitors to click to the next month, I prefer the static view. This view will always display just the amount of space if needs on your page, and no more. So if a month has a lot of events, the calendar will be big, otherwise it will be small. The "fully interactive embedded calendar" requires an HTML iframe, which cannot be auto-sized to a specific height. So you need to make the height of the iframe big enough to accommodate the largest possible calendar size. And if a month doesn't have a lot of events, then there might be some wasted space at the bottom. That's what I was referring to when I discussed the layout. But it's really only a matter of changing 2 lines of HTML to switch between the different views (and localendar's Publish Wizard generates it automatically) so I'd encourage you to look at both versions and see which you like best. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

How do you embed a calendar, I can't get my calendar to show up for other people to see it. I can login and work on it but I need a group of people to see it? |

You can embed your calendar onto your site in a variety of styles. Is there a way to change the font size and/or color for the entire calendar (not just individual events) -- static calendar, to be embedded in a webpage, "today+happening soon" style? |
