Where are you adding the event? From a public calendar? If so, from what type?

Yes - it's the embedded calendar issue again...

As noted elsewhere in the forums, the Add Event button has issues working w. this particular published calendar style. It's not a bug, per se, but a limitation imposed by the browser security model. Why it seems to work is actually b/c after displaying the Oops message, your browser is falling back to a cached copy it has from your previous visit to localendar (as the calendar maintainer)

This would not necessarilly happen if someone visited your public calendar and had never visited localendar.com before.

As also noted elsewhere, the only current workaround guaranteed to work in all browsers is to switch to another published calendar stlye, such as the non-interactive embedded calendar, or a link to a full-page calendar.

The problem with the full-page calendar is that you lose all site navigation and the user must know to "back" or they will get lost.

How about posting the code for the popup then we could drive it with our own "add event" button?

Actually, you can add HTML in the calendars title or footer to jump back to your site. Or, you can put it in an HTML frame.

I tried an HTML Frame and the add event still has the crazy error.
Do you think it would work in a html frame?
If so send me some code that you think works and I will try it.

Also - what code would allow me to modify the calendar page title or footer?

All I have seen is a link - that opens up a new page.

Are you going to fix the real problem or not?
Other Calendars do not have the problem - but yours looks better.

The start of this thread is Aug 31. Interesting that in other threads you say we've been neglecting this topic for a year...

I'm not going to follow up on this thread any longer. Updates will be posted to the other thread.
