Enamel is a wonderful way to bring color to your jewelry designs, by melting glass powders onto a base sheet of metal. Cloissone takes this one step further, by adding metal borders that separate colors. Cloisonne is not difficult to learn, and a beginner can produce beautiful results. 

On Saturday from 6 to 9 pm you will make an abstract piece as you explore the materials and techniques. On Sunday from 6 to 9 pm you will use the same skills to make a second piece of your own design. 

We will use a torch (rather than a kiln) to observe how the glass changes under fire. This is a beginner class - no prior metal skills are needed to participate.
