We are retired senior men learning to play easy folk songs and soft rock from the 70's to the 90's. We were three and now we are nine looking for a dozen to enjoy a couple of hours of singing and playing Ukulele or Guitar. 

Ou motto is 'Mama, don't let your Uke's grow up to be Guitars. 

Its a fun time for two hours, as we learn again, to use both sides of our brains. Drop in for a visit, humm, sing or even learn to play an instrument. We have an extra Ukulele as we play easy two and three chord wonders. 

The Men's Shed Music Group is an external Men's Shed OC activity for learning and playing music and the costs are not financed by the Men's Shed Ottawa Centre.

Please bring a water bottle, I suggest hiking boots or good running shoes, a wind breaker in case the sun hides, a backpack with a sweater and other munchies stuff you like.  We can afterwards, also grab a bite at O Brians Pub on Heron Road near Bank street.

Trail 43 in the Pine Grove Forest (Greenbelt) in Ottawa is generally considered to be 4.4 kilometers long. It is a popular, easy-to-follow, mostly flat wooded trail. It is accessible from parking lot P18 on Davidson Road and is used for hiking and winter activities. Email me directly for more info

The plan for this outing is to meet at the main trail entrance on Second Line Road around 10:00 am on the morning of Monday, 29 June 2026; enjoy the hike at our own pace, and perhaps take a few photos of nature's beauty along the way.  

Whether you are a novice or professional photographer, you want to use your phone's camera, or you just want to take a relaxing walk in the woods, all are welcome to attend.  We will plan to stay on the easier level trail, but you can expect some uneven ground, tree roots and small hills to manage en route.  This trail takes about 1 1/2 hours to complete, at a relaxed pace.  I will look at options for lunch afterward.  Details to follow.
