<title><![CDATA[Trip to Penryn, Cornwall]]></title>

<p><span data-olk-copy-source='MessageBody'>This&nbsp;five-night trip&nbsp;is based in <span data-markjs='true' data-ogac='' data-ogab='' data-ogsc='' data-ogsb=''>Penryn,</span>&nbsp;a historic market town midway between Truro and Falmouth.&nbsp;</span></p>  <p><span><span data-markjs='true' data-ogac='' data-ogab='' data-ogsc='' data-ogsb=''>Penryn</span> is located at the head of the <span data-markjs='true' data-ogac='' data-ogab='' data-ogsc='' data-ogsb=''>Penryn</span> river, with multiple beaches within a few miles.&nbsp;It's a great base for walking, with good transport links by train, bus and ferry.</span>&nbsp;The South West coastal path provides obvious walking options, eg from Helford Passage to Falmouth. The St Mawes ferry connects Falmouth to Roseland peninsula. Local walks are available from <span data-markjs='true' data-ogac='' data-ogab='' data-ogsc='' data-ogsb=''>Penryn</span> via Mylor.</p>  <p><span>CLOG's Trips Team has booked flatlets&nbsp;on the Cornwall campus of Falmouth/Exeter University. </span><span>Glasney student village, at the <span data-markjs='true' data-ogac='' data-ogab='' data-ogsc='' data-ogsb=''>Penryn</span> campus, is a 15-minute walk from <span data-markjs='true' data-ogac='' data-ogab='' data-ogsc='' data-ogsb=''>Penryn</span> train station.&nbsp;Each flatlet is ensuite, with&nbsp;five rooms with double beds, so you can have your own room. Two rooms in each flatlet are twin share<span>. <title><![CDATA[Parkland and haunted railway walk]]></title>

<p>A suburban railway used to run along the side of Finsbury Park to Highgate. There are still remains of station buildings and platforms. We will be taking this lovely leafy leisure walking and cycling route and see how nature is reclaiming it.</p>  <p>Meet at 6pm to start 6.10 at Finsbury Park station entrance on Seven Sisters Road&nbsp;(by the Lidl Supermarket, 269-271 Seven Sisters Rd, Finsbury Park, London N4 2DE) for a walk of 3 miles terminating at a pub that serves food.</p>  <p>Getting there:&nbsp;&nbsp;Finsbury Park train, underground and bus station.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>  <p>Getting back:&nbsp;&nbsp;Highgate Underground and buses along Archway Road.</p>  <p>Look for David Powell, wearing a broad brimmed hat.</p>  <p>&nbsp;</p><br/><style>.lc_mobile_usr * {font-size:14px;}
