The Church of Scotland Guild

is a movement within the Church of Scotland which invites and encourages both women and men to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and enables them to express their faith in worship, prayer, action and fellowship.

With around 11,000 members, the Guild is one of Scotland's largest voluntary organisation. Although women make up the bulk of our membership, increasingly, men are becoming members and taking active roles at local and national levels.

The Guild's motto, which is taken from Acts 27, verse 23: 'Whose we are and Whom we serve.'

At each meeting there is a theme.

It's explored in hands-on creative ways, active games, story-telling, young and old exchanging ideas, there is a play corner and a book corner.

A short time of worship deepens the same theme in an uplifting positive way.

The theme for this month is ‘Integrity’.

To round it up, all have dinner together, the menu often inspired by a young person's idea.
