DESCRIPTION:Contra dance is a folk dance done to live music\, with a caller
.  It's related to English Country Dance and American square dance\, but i
t has many traditional and modern variations.  Its informality makes it id
eal for beginning dancers\, but its variety provides enough challenges tha
t experienced dancers enjoy it for decades. We welcome dancers of all ages
.  Children should be old enough to learn the dance and keep dancing for s
everal minutes until that dance is over. Most of the evening is contra dan
ces\, but we have an occasional change of pace with a circle\, square\, or
mixer\, and we typically enjoy a waltz before the mid-evening break and a
t the end of the evening. We recommend that you bring a water bottle to st
ay hydrated.  During the break we have time for socializing and potluck sn
acks.  Feel free to bring something to share if you’d like. Our dances are
free of smoke\, drugs\, alcohol\, and FRAGRANCES.  Please refrain from we
aring perfumes or other scented products like deodorants or hair spray. Th
e sprung floor of our dance hall makes it ideal for dancing.  Please help

SUMMARY:Contra Dance
RRULE:FREQ=MONTHLY;UNTIL=20251213;BYDAY=2SA
Please help
us protect it by wearing clean\, soft-soled shoes. Contact: amyehart (at)

SUMMARY:Sound Bath with Dr. Natalee Trevino
RRULE:FREQ=MONTHLY;UNTIL=20270711;BYDAY=2SU
DESCRIPTION:A sound bath is a deeply immersive full-body listening experien
ce where we use sound and simple mindfulness techniques to invite therapeu
tic and restorative effects to the mind and body. Immerse yourself (like a
bath) in the healing frequencies of crystal singing bowls that are tuned
using the 432 hz scale\, which sits approximately 31 cents flatter than th
e standard 440 hz tuning. This alternative tuning is more resonant with na
ture. The singing bowls are infused with crystals and lined with gold for
the purest\, most therapeutic sound. You may experience deep relaxation\,
emotional release\, increased clarity\, or enhanced meditation.  Sessions
are facilitated by Dr. T\,  a certified sound healing practitioner and voc
alist born and raised in San Antonio\, Tx. Many of these sessions are infu
sed with traditional mariachi or ceremonial songs intended to connect the
listener to deeper aspects of themselves and release old wounds. Selection

RRULE:FREQ=MONTHLY;UNTIL=20301214;BYDAY=2SA
EXDATE;TZID=America/Chicago:20260411T190000
Please help
us protect it by wearing clean\, soft-soled shoes. Contact: amyehart@juno.
