Quinn, Esq.</strong></p>  <p>&nbsp;</p>  <ul>  <li>I&rsquo;m okay.&nbsp; I can work this out for myself.</li>  <li>I&rsquo;m not like a &ldquo;real&rdquo; alcoholic anyway.</li>  <li>I want help, but I don&rsquo;t want anyone to know.</li>  <li>Will I be reported to Discipline.</li>  </ul>  <p>Sound familiar?&nbsp; Recent studies have shown that there has been a dramatic increase in impairment due to alcoholism, addiction, and mental health disorders among members of the legal profession.&nbsp; The statistics are compelling and clearly indicate that 1 out of 3 attorneys will likely have a need to substance use or mental health services at some point in their careers.</p>  <p>There is a misconception among lawyers that only people who have &ldquo;hit bottom&rdquo; need or ask for help.&nbsp; The statistics say otherwise, as recent surveys indicate that the overwhelming majority of legal practitioners believe they have suffered negative mental health consequences as a result of their chosen profession.</p>  <p>Unfortunately, lawyers would rather isolate and &ldquo;tough it out&rdquo; rather than ask for help.&nbsp; This &ldquo;conspiracy of silence&rdquo; is often destructive to both careers and overall wellbeing.</p>  <p>Mr. Quinn will discuss:</p>  <ol>  <li>The early warning signs of distress and impairment due to substance misuse and mental health issues.</li>  <li>How best to approach the impaired individual.</li>  <li>Strategies that we can use every day to alleviate the stressors that lead to alcoholism, burnout, and anxiety.</li>  <li>The culture that has developed in the legal profession has resulted in an increase in poor mental health among lawyers, and what we can do about it.</li>  <li>What barriers exist that prevent lawyers from seeking the help they need, especially when it involves their mental well-being.</li>  <li>The confidential services that Lawyers Assistance Programs provide to lawyers, judges, their family members, and law students.</li>  </ol>  <p><strong>Webinar: 12:00 PM &ndash; 1:00 PM</strong></p>  <p><strong>Tuition: $35.00</strong></p>  <p><strong>To Register Call Nancy @ 610.433.6401 Ext: 16 (or)</strong></p>  <p><strong>E-mail: </strong><a href='mailto:cle@lehighbar.org' rel='nofollow'><strong>cle@lehighbar.org</strong></a></p>  <p><strong></strong></p>]]></description>

Dunn, Esq.</strong></p>  <p>The present study, &ldquo;<em>Self-Evident: America as an Idea</em>,&rdquo; explores the political ideas that underpin the founding and the ongoing conduct of the American idea.&nbsp; This course will not cause a million-dollar client to drop out of the sky.&nbsp; It will not offer ideas to make your office run like a Swiss watch.&nbsp; It won&rsquo;t help you untangle a difficult regulation.&nbsp; However, it will give you a look &ldquo;under the hood,&rdquo; to remind you not only how, but also why America ticks.&nbsp; That in turn will energize your whole practice by reminding you why you became a lawyer in the first place.</p>  <p>David Francis Dunn is a veteran lawyer from Allentown.&nbsp; He is a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, J.D. 1968, Cornell University, BA, 1965, and Allentown Central Catholic High School, 1961.</p>  <p>He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States Tax Court, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, and the District of Colorado.</p>  <p>He is past chair of the Solo &amp; Small Firm Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, a member of The Bar Association of Lehigh County, and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.&nbsp; He is a past president of The Allentown Jaycees, the Lehigh Valley Toastmasters Club, the Exchange Club of Western Lehigh, and is a director of the Small Business Council of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Congress.</p>  <p>&nbsp;</p>  <p><strong>Webinar: 12:00 PM &ndash; 1:00 PM</strong></p>  <p><strong>Tuition: $35.00</strong></p>  <p><strong>To Register Call Nancy @ 610.433.6401 Ext: 16 (or)</strong></p>  <p><strong>E-mail: </strong><a href='mailto:cle@lehighbar.org' rel='nofollow'><strong>cle@lehighbar.org</strong></a></p>  <p></p>]]></description>
