Tricks – Beginner – THIS SESSION IS FULL

Join us to learn how to teach your dog some fun tricks! There are lots of benefits from learning tricks. It stimulates your dog physically and mentally so it helps keep him/her in a good shape. It also helps you learn how to communicate with your dog and build a bond with him/her. ...And so much more!!!

In this class, you will learn foundation skills on how to teach your dog to do behaviors on cue through working on some simple but fun tricks. We can also work toward having your dog ready to earn a novice trick title with AKC and/or DMWYD if you want.

Prerequisites:
- Puppy class, basic household obedience/manner class, or equivalent

Session period:
July 29 – September 16, 2020
* This session will be done with SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS – Each student picks 5 weeks out of 8 to attend and is given a 30-minute private instruction per week.

This class is the first agility class for you and your dog. It is  designed for dogs that have never taken an agility class.  In it your dog will be 'introduced' to all of the agility equipment while you learn basic handling.

Prerequisite:  Puppy class - and the ability to come when called 

This class will be held outdoors

NO AGGRESSIVE DOGS ALLOWED IN CLASS.  If an aggressive dog is excused from class NO refund will be given!!!

Agility - Beginner Handling

Now that you finished Intro to Obstacles it's time to learn how to run a course.  In the session you will learn what a post turn is, a front cross,serpentine, 180, etc along with more practice ont the obstacles.  Learn how to run a course

Intermediate/Advanced Agility

Works on handling exercises and small courses to build yours and your dog's agility skills.  Dogs must be familiar with all equipment and handlers must be familiar with handling terms and motions

This class is for experienced hander/dog teams that want to improve their handling skills in oreder to move around the course in an efficient manner.  Dogs must be competent on all equipment and handlers must have handling knowledge.

A class that is different every week.  We will touch on different dog sports - agility, nosework, parkour, obedience, rally, tricks body awareness etc.  Have the opportunity to earn your CGC or Do More With Your Dog trick titles.  Let the instructor know what you want to work on, and it will be added to the session.  Take this class as six week session, an on-going set of classes or drop-in, one time class

 

This class will be held outdoors, weather permitting
